Sometimes life is a real struggle, and all of you with migraine know what I mean. I have had a severe migraine attack and have been laying in bed for three days, then if we count the day before when I started to have a headache, neck pain, and tearing in my left eye. Then it almost took two days to get on my feet again since when you have had a migraine attack, you are so incredibly tired and feel drained. Like a terrible hangover. So that week went by in a blur without being able to do anything productively.
But that is a part of living with migraines. Most often, you don’t know when the migraine will come until a couple of hours or a day beforehand. You don’t know how long the migraine attack will last, and you don’t know how affected you will be afterward. Planning things like trips, dinner, and other events can be a real hassle.
With a migraine, it’s tough to manage a job, and that affects your economy. It also affects you mentally since you feel bad for not being able to work, for being a mother that can’t play or be present with your children, to be that friend that cancels at the last minute.
To be honest, its a shitty life, so what do you do? What can you do? I think we all look for things that can ease our migraine. That can help us cope in our day to day life. But sometimes we just have to deal with things when it happens since its many times too late to do something. With migraine, I can feel that we mainly work to prevent migraines. Do you agree or disagree with me? What is your opinion?
